… to all those who’ve recently contributed to a marked ‘spike’ in sales over the past week or so. For no reason I can work out, I’ve been far too busy for promo duties. Especially since the stats show that over 60% of buyers are paying more (sometimes a lot more) than I’m asking. BIG THANKS, folks – it means a lot, it really does.

Abdul Tee-Jay
Orb fans may have noted a certain African flavour to ‘Star 6&789’ from the first album, and AFD fans will certainly have noted a hefty dose in the whole of ‘Salvage’. This is why – I played with Abdul TJ for four years, and he taught me more about rhythm than anyone before or since. I owe this man … and he’s now back in London, which makes me ridiculously happy. Here is, rocking out Brixton’s Ritzy in exactly the same way as we rocked out the Bass Clef club (which became the Blue Note) back in 1985. He is, without a doubt, one of the best guitarists ever to come out of Sierra Leone. Anyone wanting to offer the man a gig can get in touch with me and I’ll pass it on…
Erebus & Terror – new CD stock, special offer
Well hey, a nice surprise – just to say that out of the blue I’ve sourced fresh CD stock of Erebus & Terror (originally on HS Recordings, now RIP, like many other small labels) so to celebrate have dropped the price to £4 (postage not included) Once I’m down to 100 I’ll probably put it back up though (there won’t ever be any more) so if you’d like one, now’s the time – you’ll get immediate download of the mp3s included, and while I’ve still got a few left, a free CD copy of the EP Chasing Tornados
Happy New Year !

Ireland solstice festival cancelled
Sad to report that the Ireland 2012 solstice festival on the 21st of December has been cancelled, due to lack of additional funding that was due from various cultural organisations. Sounds like the curse of the Mayans has struck early …
Dylan’s Room long listed for BAFTA award
… and on it goes. Layke Anderson’s short Dylan’s Room (score from Erebus & Terror) has been long-listed for a BAFTA award. Just to add to the 4 or so awards it’s already picked up. Trailer right here
Ooff… working on something a little banging, need to decompress and reset the ears. This’ll do nicely
